The second-hand marketplace Members Express Displeasure Regarding Sizing Modifications
Vinted users have been reacting angrily after an update resulted in listings displaying inaccurate size information.
The second-hand shopping app has altered its measurement guidelines for women's and children's garments but did not contact all shoppers about the modification.

Many shoppers and sellers have taken to social media claiming that product pages now present a different size category versus the original listing because of the remapping.
The company said the updated approach better aligns with comparable marketplaces.
It has advised users to review their products and adjust the sizing manually where appropriate, which has left users frustrated.
Size Classification Modifications
Earlier, the sizes had both a single numeric size and a letter, like S/8 or M/10.
The revised method features an alphabetical indicator and numerical range such as S/UK 8-10.
With some products, the sizing has been recategorised - like an L measurement used to be a 12 but is now a UK 16-18.
Member Experiences
Frankie Bridger, who produces content about larger sizing, explained the modification "makes transactions more difficult".
"Rarely do manufacturers list XL as sizes 20-22," the way the service now categorizes.
Another user, from Glasgow, stated items she posted on Vinted with size 14 labels were displaying on the service as measurements 20-22.
"If buyers measuring 20-22 acquire them they may become frustrated," she stated.
Necessary Adjustments
Charlotte Lunn, located in England, stated she felt frustrated due to the update requiring manual adjustment the measurements for "each individual item".
"This situation is especially annoying, since I have chronic health issues and platform income has been essential after experiencing income reduction," she said.

The service features exceeding 100 million shoppers, with 18 million British users.
It has proved a popular alternative to second-hand platforms like eBay and Depop.
This isn't the first time when a surprising modification on the platform has faced criticism: previously, the platform withdrew an update regarding delivery choices following member complaints.
